“Points app” covers four different jobs: showing your balance, finding bonus offers, earning while you shop online, and telling you what points are worth. No single app does all four, so the best setup is usually two or three tools working together.

Quick answer: Keep the official app for each program you collect. That is where you see your balance and activate personalised offers like Everyday Rewards Boosts. To find bonus offers across programs without checking each one, PointFarm (free, iPhone) or FreePoints (website and weekly email) do that job. If you hold an Amex card, add Amex Offers to it in the Amex app or website before you spend.
| Tool | Useful when | Programs | Limits to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| PointFarmFree iPhone app | You collect more than one program and want bonus offers, fuel prices with the points each station earns, and a points value calculator in one place. | Qantas, Velocity, Flybuys, Everyday Rewards, Amex | Does not show your balance and never asks for logins. iPhone only at the time of this guide. |
| Flybuys appFree, official | You shop at Coles, Kmart or other Flybuys partners and want to see your balance, activate offers and redeem. | Flybuys only | Shows Flybuys offers only. Offers must be activated before you shop. |
| Everyday Rewards appFree, official | You shop at Woolworths, BIG W or other Everyday Rewards partners and want your weekly personalised Boosts. | Everyday Rewards only | Boosts must be activated before you shop, and only appear in Everyday Rewards’ own app or website. |
| Qantas and Velocity appsFree, official | You want your frequent flyer balance and status, and to use points with that airline. | One airline program each | Each app covers its own program only. |
| Amex appFree with an Amex card | You hold an American Express card and want Amex Offers: statement credits or bonus points at selected merchants. | American Express cards only | Offers are personalised and must be added to your card before you spend. |
| PointMateiPhone and Android; free with ads, Premium plan | You want to rank your rewards credit cards for a purchase, value a flight redemption or compare rewards cards. | 17 programs and 66+ rewards credit cards, per its listing | A calculator and comparison tool rather than an offers feed. Premium is $4.99/month or $39.99/year. |
| Points NowWeb membership; free to start | You want earning opportunities plus email or SMS alerts when reward seats open on your routes. | Qantas, Velocity, Everyday Rewards, Flybuys | Full access needs a paid membership plan. |
| FreePointsFree website and newsletter | You prefer a weekly email of points offers to an app. | Qantas, Velocity, Flybuys, Everyday Rewards, plus others | No app. The newsletter is weekly, so short offers can end between issues. |
| Point HacksFree website and newsletter | You want news, guides and deals on frequent flyer points and credit card sign-up bonuses. | Australian frequent flyer, credit card and supermarket programs | A news and guides site, not a personalised offer feed or an app. |
| Airline shopping portalsFree, official: Qantas · Velocity | You are about to buy online and the retailer is a partner, so going through the portal adds airline points. | One airline program each | Only works if you start from the portal, and earn rates change often. |
Use each program’s official app. We have not found an Australian app that shows Flybuys, Everyday Rewards, Qantas and Velocity balances together, and any app that did would need your logins.

A routine that captures most of the value in a few minutes a week:
Flybuys at Coles and other Flybuys partners; Everyday Rewards at Woolworths and other Everyday Rewards partners. Both are free to join and earn on spending you already do.
Open the Flybuys and Everyday Rewards apps and activate that week’s personalised offers before you shop. They do not apply unless you do.

Money off groceries, gift cards and flights give very different value per point. Check before you spend or transfer.
Not that we have found for Australian programs. The official Flybuys, Everyday Rewards, Qantas and Velocity apps each show only their own balance. Overseas balance trackers mostly focus on airline and hotel programs and need your loyalty logins, so check they support Flybuys and Everyday Rewards before signing up. PointFarm does not show balances; it finds ways to earn more across programs.
PointFarm collects points offers across Qantas, Velocity, Flybuys, Everyday Rewards and Amex, plus fuel prices with the points each station earns. FreePoints covers similar programs as a website and weekly email. Personalised offers like Everyday Rewards Boosts still have to be activated in that program’s own app or website.
No. PointFarm never asks for your passwords and cannot see your balance. You choose which programs you collect and it shows offers for those.
Yes. The official Flybuys, Everyday Rewards, Qantas and Velocity apps, PointFarm, FreePoints and Point Hacks are all free to use. Joining Flybuys, Everyday Rewards and Velocity is free; Qantas Frequent Flyer can charge a joining fee unless it is waived by a promotion.
