Perth petrol price questions
What's the cheapest day to buy petrol in Perth?
Tuesday, at the moment. In our data for the last 8 weeks, Perth prices were lowest on Tuesday and jumped on Wednesday in 8 of those weeks, by about 17c a litre on average.
Does Perth have a petrol price cycle?
In 2025 the ACCC measured Perth's cycle at around 1 week on average. Our own data currently shows a weekly cycle.
Does diesel follow the petrol price cycle?
No. The ACCC says retail diesel and LPG prices do not move in price cycles; they follow wholesale costs. The cycle applies to unleaded petrol, including E10, 95 and 98, which tend to move together.
Where does this data come from?
Every price comes from the WA Government FuelWatch, which station operators must report to. Each day we take every Perth station's regular unleaded (ULP 91) price at about 7am and record the middle (median) price, so one very cheap or very dear station can't skew it. FuelWatch historic prices.
